The soon-to-be 14-year-old, based out of Lake Wylie, SC, has shown remarkable racecraft across multiple national series. 2021 saw Dyszelski secure the KA Juniors class championship in the Stars Championship Series in addition to grabbing a K100 Junior class win against a strong field at the Carolina Grand Prix in October.
While new to the team, Dyszelski is no stranger to team owner Jay Howard, who began working with the driver in his early karting days.
“I am super excited to have Danny join the team,” remarked Howard. “I started with Danny back in cadet kart racing, and now to help him transition to cars and have him on our development team is amazing. He’s shown great pace in preseason testing so far.”
“He’s young and like a sponge right now,” continued Howard, “so this year will be all about learning the tracks, understanding how car racing works at this high level, and preparing with 2023 in the back of our minds. The mission will be to complete as many laps as possible.”
As for Dyszelski, he’s looking forward to getting in the car for the first time at Barber Motorsports Park on April 29.
“I am very happy to be a part of Jay Howard Driver Development,” he said. “To have the chance to learn from all of the great people in this team makes me excited, and I hope I can become an asset to the team.”
While Dyszelski will be making his debut in Rounds 3 and 4 in April, the rest of the JHDD team will be on track for the first round of the season on February 25-27 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Be sure to keep up with all racing action, news and highlights on JHDD’s official social media channels.
